Unusual assortment of new electric bumper boats from Rides and Fun

Hello again; Today I’m writing to tell you about another line of new equipment from Rides and Fun, formerly The Top Fun Group of Italy.

rides and fun calls this the disco pirate bumper boat. they are for sale on the midway marketplace

This time it is their line of electric bumper boats. They offer customers a wide variety of styles many of which I have never heard of before. They can also produce customized boats to fit with the theme of your business or the bumper boat arena you wish to create.

Operate Them Almost Anywhere

they call this the double seat disco bumper boat. meant for one adult and one child

They can also produce the pool needed or assist in designing one specifically for your needs. And here too, there are more options. This is because these boats have been designed to operate in any kind of water including using them at a lake or ocean. All you would need is an area partitioned off for safety.

Single seat bounty boat

The boats are made from the highest quality of materials. They are available in single seat and two seater models. The two seaters are for one adult and one child. They are suitable for kids from age five to twelve. They run on batteries that last for four hours. It takes eight hours to completely recharge them, so two sets of batteries are recommended. And the costs of the batteries, chargers, and other electrical equipment are not generally included in the purchase price of these units.

Hover boat

While the safe operation does require a supervisor, these coin operated units are pretty much self service. They work with an electronic timer that automatically shuts off when the time expires. The timer can be set between half a minute and three and one half minutes. And the coin mechanisms can be supplied to suit any coin or token. I have urged them to also offer bill acceptors and card readers for in house credit cards and will update you if and when they are available.

Custom Animal Head Boats

The boats can be upgraded with fiberglass heads that feature happy animals with an original design. This is what I see as the most exciting part of their bumper boat line. With these animal heads your bumper boat attraction could be made to fit a given theme. For example they already make them in ducks

and swans

Swan boat

perfect for a bumper boat pond at a city park or for a ride themed as a duck pond or lilly pond.

They also offer elephants,

hippos,

and bears.

Bear boat

I believe these would be perfect for use at a zoo. They would also be great at a park where a wilderness theme is being used. They are also open to custom design orders. If for example your park is known for flamingos or penguins or something else; then we could make that happen. The main thing is that the flexibility of design you get from Rides and Fun would mean being able to create a unique bumper boat experience that would become part of your business’s brand.

Now, I know many of you are familiar with this company and could contact them yourselves. However, I hope you will place your orders through my site or at least mention my name as the person who caused you to decide to purchase. I can promise you that my small commission is not going to effect your final purchase price in the least.

These units would be a good fit at an amusement park, water park, family fun center, pleasure pier, or beach boardwalk. I’m aware that there are also some carnival and fun fair operators who manage traveling bumper boat attractions. And based on the earlier statement you could use these at a summer camp, lake camp grounds, or lagoon area. And I’m sure there are possibilities I’m not even thinking of.

I hope you enjoyed learning about these fine new products. I look forward to hearing your opinions on all their unusual if not unique designs. Please let me know by leaving a comment. Not only does it help the manufacturer to make an even better product, but it gives you beneficial links back to your website, twitter profile, and most recent blog post. And if you enjoyed the post, be sure to click the sharing buttons and let your friends, family, and coworkers know about it. I can’t do this without your help.

I always love to hear from my readers. I know most of you are unfamiliar with the operations end of the amusement industry. I welcome your questions. You can either email me or use the contact form You can also use the new social media buttons to connect with me on face book, linked in, twitter, google plus and pinterest. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks and take care, Max

  1. These look great fun, and it’s great the way they can be customised to suit an individual park’s theme. I like the way you’ve included really helpful, practical details about how long the batteries last, how long they take to charge etc. – I’m sure potential buyers will find this useful.

Loved all the images – as ever, your posts always make me want to be a kid again and go for a ride!

    • Hi Sue; thanks for your comment. I’m glad to hear the pictures stirred your imagination. I’m hoping they do the same for park operators. Technical details are good because it turns a sales piece into a helpful informational one. i just wish i could get more details. The owners of the company may speak english but their website and ride documents show that english was not the first language of whoever created them. And my contact is very busy. I have told him repeatedly that he should assign someone else from his staff to help me with all the pesky details. I could really use a good description of the safety devices as potential insurance liability is a key consideration for buyers. I have even mentioned to them that there is an opportunity for sales if they could develop a proprietary safety harness that could be proven to decrease insurance claims and law suits. I’m sure they have the safety equipment on their bumper boats and go karts, but it would be nice to be able to give people specific details. Which one of the boats was your favorite? My first thought was a few years ago i would have had them make me up a set of clown fish. Thanks again and take care, max

        • hi susan; Thanks for the complement. I specifically asked some park owners that I have had dealings with in the past what they thought about these boats and the go karts. In both cases they said the company should feature their safety equipment in the photos and product description and i passed this information on to my contact at rides and fun. i thought the ducks and swans would get a good reaction. And I could picture them bobbing around a pond with lilly pads toadstools and maybe a few frogs as decoration. Thanks again and take care, max

    • Hi Susan; I’m glad to hear that you liked them and that you have ridden some of them. Do you mean bumper boats in general or some exactly like the ones pictured in the post? they are a lot of fun. I didn’t realize that one of them was a tug boat. wonder if it comes with a whistle? smile Thanks again for the comment and take care, max

        • hi susan; yes it would be funny. wonder if they will put animal sounds on the ducks and swans? a friend of mine suggested they come out with one that has polar bear heads on it. and i replied yeh penguins polar bears and ice bergs in a winter wonderland themed bumper boat area. thanks for sharing and take care, max

  2. Very interesting post. I didn’t realize that there was so much variety in the industry. Now, it is 35 degrees with a cold rain outside where I am right now, but the imagery these boats brought to my mind was that of 85, sunny, and vacation. Timely post from my perspective!

    Thank you for sharing!

    • Hi mark; i’m in texas near houston and our weather sounds about the same as yours. And i didn’t realize there were so many options for bumper boats either. You are right nasty weather makes people think about sand sun and surf. glad i could remind you summer is out there somewhere. And this is the prime time for buying new equipment as the owners of amusement parks family fun centers carnivals etc are all thinking about what the customers want for next year. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment. Take care out there, max

  3. I just wanted to let you know that I have bestowed an award upon you, because you are one of the bloggers I admire! You can read about this award in my most recent post – and whether or not you choose to accept it is totally up to you! πŸ™‚

    • Hi lorraine; thanks for the nomination. I read your post and loved it. Its powerful. I will start working on my post to accept it. You are a good friend. Thanks and take care, max

    • Hi Patricia; So glad you enjoyed the post. I thought that the pirate ship one should be popular. Perhaps the next time you visit a local family fun center or the big park at bush gardens you could fill out a customer request or evaluation form and ask about the pirate boats. There are a lot of parks who don’t yet know about me and as a result don’t yet know about these boats. the linked in group for bloggers helping bloggers is a great asset to us. Lots of friendly helpful people hang out there. Thanks again for the comment and take care, max

    • Hi krystle; thanks for taking a look at the post. they do sound fun. and i can’t think of a better endorsement than a mom telling me her boys would love them. the manufacturer is hoping I can introduce these and the rest of their products to the u s market, so thanks for the positive thoughts. Take care, max

    • Hi Debra; Glad you liked the boats. I’m hoping the variety will lead to sales soon. I can see lots of possibilities like penguins and polar bears and ice bergs in a winter themed area or a simulated mountain stream flowing into a pond with man made folders for a bear themed pond. and how about some water cannons to shoot at those pirate boats maybe letting the parents man the guns. smile What do you think? maybe i should have included a poll and asked people to pick their favorite boat. well i’m still learning at this blogging thing. Glad we met on linked in and i look forward to learning more from you and sharing a lot. thanks again and have a happy thanksgiving, max

        • hi debra; You know I was thinking the same thing as i was replying to comments. do you have a plug in or templet or site i could use to include a poll? I don’t get a lot of traffic on my forum so was thinking maybe a poll over there would be good. or maybe i should do a poll in a linked in group? and even if i did get as many replies as choices that would all be positive traffic. thanks for the suggestion. glad to see my friends are looking out for me. take care, max

  4. Hi Max,

Good to be over at your blog πŸ™‚

I enjoyed the post about these bumper boats, so apt for those who would love to purchase them – great for little ones. I liked the way you took the pains to write the little details about how long their battery life would be etc, so that people know the finer details as well.

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend, and Happy Thanksgiving πŸ™‚

    • Hi Harleena; So glad you could get a chance to check out my blog. I feel the posts are gradually getting better. On this one I would have loved to include more technical details, but their lack is totally the manufacturer’s fault. I have explained to them that their company documents should specify the safety devices as well. As safety and its impact on insurance claims and law suits is a major determining factor for companies in this market. Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you too had a great thanksgiving. Have a fun weekend, max

  5. Hi Elle; Thanks so much for the complement. I hope its my naturally engaging writing style, but I imagine its the work me and my brother Patrick put into getting the photos and videos for the posts. And there is so much serious stuff in our lives that we all like to be reminded of simpler times when one of the best days of the year was going to a nearby amusement park or going to the carnival at the county fair. glad you like the posts. And thanks to help from good friends like you more people are seeing and reading these posts. Take care my friend, max
