Here is a beautiful park train built by the national amusement device company in Daton Ohio. It ran at Rocky Point Park in Rhode Island until that park closed in the late 90's. It then ran at Santa's Village until 2004 or 5. Based on history of Rocky Point the train is probably between 35 and 40 years old. It hasn't had anywhere near the use it could because of failing grosses in later years at Rocky Point and the seasonal nature of Santa's Village. Add that to only being run occasional by its current owners a family from southern California. The train comes with a working engine, one passenger car, a tunnel, a work shed, and about 600 feet of actual track. The one car is pretty much an open affair and can handle up to twelve people at a time. The train runs on a six cylendar FORD gas engine along with an automatic transmission. It uses a double reduction drive connected to a center shaft that goes under the tender to each truck. It has a beveled gear drive on one axle in each truck under the tender. The second axle in each truck is connected to the other axle with a drive chain. There are air brakes on both the locomotive and the tender. The owner has sent me a document about sources for additional track, and I don't believe it would be any real problem to build or have additional cars fabricated. The owner is asking $45,000 for all of it but would be willing to negotiate the price if you don't want the shed or tunnel. She tells me that the way it was installed you can drive the train right up to her driveway and load it onto a truck, trailer or container. I am including a video where you can hear it run and be able to tell just how sweet the engine on this beauty is. If you have any questions or wish to make arrangements to visit towards making a purchase please text or call me at 979-215-1770. This train would be perfect for an amusement park, train park, family fun center, beach boardwalk, pleasure pier, etc. I could also see it at a ski lodge, city zoo, themed restaurant, shopping mall, traders village, etc. Basically any where that families gather would be perfect for this amazing train.
