$ 150,000.00

This is a completely restored 1962 Malcolm Cummings park train for $150,000. The train comes with the engine, two regular cars, a caboose, and 1,800 feet of track and ties. It is a 24 gage train, and it can haul 40 people per load. A brand new unit would cost at least $350,000. This ride was one of seven built by M. Cummings in the 1960's. They were designed to remind people of the Santa Fe Chief that ran between Chicago and Los Angeles This one was sold to Fairy Land Park in Prince Edward Island Canada and operated there until the park went out of business. The current owner is a gentleman who restores classic and antique cars. And as you can tell he has this ride in show room new condition. The engine and cars have been done in poly urethane, and the color scheme has been matched to the colors of the old Santa Fe line. It runs on a four cylinder wisconsin gas powered engine with a hydrostatic drive system. They tell me there are many new parts in the drive train. And the wheel bearings have been greased and repacked. Even though local regulations prohibit their operating it as an attraction, I'm told it is in great running condition. It is located in P E I Canada, and is available immediately. The buyer will b responsible for the costs of transporting it to their location and installing it there. The owner did say that he can assist with making the arrangements. This ride would be a perfect addition to any amusement park, family entertainment center, pleasure pier, beach boardwalk, or themed restaurant. It would also be a good fit in a zoo, city park, train park, shopping mall, pumpkin patch, or other agritourism business. And if you are thinking of starting a new amusement destination, you couldn't do better than to start with a beautiful train like this one.
